Love that little Buddha belly!
Yes 'tis true...time flies. Bummer! I cannot...let me repeat, cannot...believe my little baby is a big boy now. My goodness has the last year just whooshed by in the blink of an eye. And Matt and I made it! We laugh thinking about a certain emotional (hormonal) melt down I had just weeks after I had Brody. Bella was 14 months old, climbing all over me as I tried to feed Brody, Brody proceeding to puke all over me and Bella having her own meltdown. As I sat overwhelmed, the tears began to flow. Matt made the mistake of rounding the corner as this all ensued and just looked at me and pretty much probably thought..."Oh Lord, NOT another hormonal cry fest!" As I pulled myself together after one good LONG cry, I looked at Matt and said, "If we can just get through the next 11 months, we will be just fine. We won't be tired, both babies will be on a good schedule, and they might even like each other and play together all day long". Looking back I realize that I want to bite my tongue because those baby moments ar gone way too fast. At times, I want to go back to those sleepless nights just to sit alone in a dark room singing to my babies. Thankfully, each night as I take Bella to bed, she says "Rock-a-Baby Mama" hoping I will rock and sign to her before she snuggles up. I do.
Brody had a super awesome 1st Birthday Party. We had to go to rain back up plan since it poured the weekend of his Birthday and riding the Zilker Zephyr mini train for his Planes, Trains and Automobiles theme didn't happen unfotunately. But we made do and brought the party home, enjoying his bash with close friends and family. He got so many wonderful birthday presents from his family & friends...thank you all so much! He also got his first B-ball hoop from Dad, Mom, and Bella which he and Bella have mastered already. The trick is pulling Daddy away from the hoop in the play room now! hahaha
Happy Birthday Little Man!!
