Happy 4th of July!!

Miss Independence!!

Pretty Pink Princess

Oh goodness, has it REALLY been an entire month since I updated the our blog!!!??? Yes, I know all of you avid bloggers are grumbling going, "uh yeah Sunnie, we've been staring at the same Father's Day pictures for a month now!" Sorry!!!

Bella is just so active now that all of my free time when I'm not planning a big day for a Bride tends to be rolling around on the floor with her, heading to music class at the Music Bug (she's loving the maracas) or some other form of entertainment to keep this busy girl occupied!! She is still just as tall as ever and I'm really looking forward to our 6 month check up (minus the immunizations) to find out how tall she is and how much she weighs. She has had such a growth spurt in the last month you just wouldn't believe your eyes!

She has mastered crawling and she has full intention on covering the entire house in the next couple of weeks. Really....how big can you buy blankets? I feel as though I need to install bouncy flooring in my entire household so we avoid the bonking of the noggin so much!!! She also has started to pull herself up on anything she can get those little fingers on....crib, Daddy, myself, coffee tables...everything!! We didn't realize she could do this until I went in to check on her during a nap the other day and as I walk in I am greeted by a big smile and my standing baby! Oh really Bella???!!! You can stand now???!!!! What!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, you're just moving way too fast for Mommy & Daddy!!!

It is really truly amazing to see her progress so quickly, she is strong and determined...exactly how I want her to grow up :)

We have just had loads going on as well in the last month and we've had a blast with friends in town and all of the fun events we've been able to go to! Baby showers, bachelorette parties, the whole nine yards! Bella has been quite a hit with everyone and she has definitely gotten her fill of spoiling lately. (Okay, so maybe she gets that all the time but I can't help it) I'm just so thankful that the multitude of smiles on her face has only gotten better! She giggles so hard....and snorts liker her Mommy....that you really can't help but falling down with laughter. She just cracks herself up.

She has also began to give super big kisses. When I go into her room in the morning and pick her up she throws her arms around my head and attacks my face with a big wet one on my cheek or a slobber and some sort of sucking on my chin :) Talk about feeling like the most important person in the whole wide world!!!

We are loving being parents....absolutely wholeheartedly loving it! She has blessed our life more than we could ever put into words and I'm sad in a way that she is already halfway to a full year old. I wish she could stay this age forever, thigh rolls and all :)

Love to you all!! XOXO

You are SO funny Daddy!
I Love GiGi and Great Grandpa!

Where oh where do I start! I've been one busy Mama and failing terribly at being a blogger I guess!! hahaha Our little Isabella is going to be 5 months old this coming week! My goodness, has It really been almost half a year since that beautiful day in January! Matt and I are enjoying her MORE THAN EVER right now :) She is absolutely the funniest little girl...and yes, she knows it! She smiles from ear to ear all the time and just cracks herself up when she knows she's being cute.

It is truly amazing how early their personalities start to show and the little quirks and mannerisms she is already showing. Many of them I've seen a million times, since she has her Daddy's smirk and that lazy look when she stares up at you when she's sleepy...yeah the same one Matt gives me when I wake him up too early after a rare but fussy baby night, "Honey....could you get the baby...pleeeeeease with sugar on top" I know Matt secretly loves it when I do that because the best part of our day is when we hear her wake up in her crib and she starts talking to herself and looking at her little ocean aquarium...when we walk in the room she is in her own little world and then she sees your face and it lights up like nothing you could ever imagine. It melts me every single morning! What a way to wake up every day of our life. Does she really have to grow up :(

She is definitely a mover...we have come to the realization that she does not have time for swings, bouncers or anything that confines her anymore...rather she is happy as pie with a large quilt on the floor so she can roll and roll and inch worm around the room! She is desperately trying to crawl but she has not figured out that she has to stay up on her arms so instead she sticks her cute little bum in the air and pushes forward on her forehead and slowly gets from point A to B! It is hysterical to watch and a bit frustrating as well! At the rate she's moving she will get it down very soon and we will be chasing her everywhere. Start baby proofing the house now!

We did have another first as well....Matt enjoyed his 1st Father's Day! It was such a lovely and relaxing day and Bella and I woke Daddy up with a frame that we recorded her laugh on so he can hear her giggle all day long at the office when he misses her. We also were able to spend the day with Grandpa from Texas. He and Grandma just moved here and we are soooo excited!! It is fantastic to have Bella's Great-Grandparents so close by so she can spend so much time with them. They just adore her and snuggle her constantly.
We are headed to Alaska this Friday for a family vacation and a little bit of the Great Outdoors! Wish us luck on the flight with Miss Bella who has the ants in her pants these days!! And wish us luck for a 150 lb halibut...I'm SO going to show Matt up on the fishing trip this year! hahaha Here fishy fishy :)
Love to you all!!!

4 Months!!

Cheeks for days!!
Naked Baby!!!! teehee

Hugs for Hop on Pop!
A Sunnie Affair booth at the Summerlin Bridal Show!!

Miss Bella is officially 4 months old!! Unfortunately, the 4 month Bday also means more shots! Poor thing was not very happy with Mommy & Daddy yesterday when we toted her to the pediatrician at 8am....she loves to be weighed and measured (all the other kids cry and Bella just giggles while she's on the scale) and even likes it when the doctor tests all of her joints and movements. Then...the big bad nurse comes in and all you-know-what breaks loose! She turns beat red when they give her those shots in her legs and it just breaks your heart! I HATE shot day!

We were very happy to learn though that she is still very tall. She is in the 95th percentile for height and she is in the 75th-90th for weight....so she is just growing like a bean stalk. I'm definitely noticing the height spurts because she is now in 6 month clothing because she is so long. She weighs 14 lbs and 14 oz and she is 26 inches long...over two feet!! I can't believe it!!

We have had a very mellow week compared to our last month, and it's just been nice to vegg out with little pumpkin and giggle and smile with her. She is so happy all of the time and is doing so well developmentally. It makes me so proud when she rolls over and smiles so big because you can tell she is proud of herself. Or when she truly believes she is talking to you and you have no clue what she's saying...but is is adorable either way!

Last weekend I exhibited at the Summerlin Bridal Show and it was such a great turn out. Matt designed an awesome booth for me and it was so great to speak with so many brides in one day...who all have such different stories! My Mom worked the booth with me...which I SO appreciated...and we had a blast all day! I loved hearing how each bride got engaged and discussing all of the styles and ideas they each had about their weddings. So fun and great experience as well!
Stay tuned for pictures of Bella's first squash meal...this should be fun!! hahaha
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we love you all!!

Okay...so I've been really bad about updating the blog lately. Yes, I have heard your grumbling girls :) There has just been so much going on!!! We've had so many great moments with Miss Bella and we have had friends and family visiting Vegas so we have just been on the go. I know...no excuse for not sending out my adorable pictures of our little baby girl!!

Where do I start??!!! Well, we'll begin with the most special and biggest moment of the last couple of weeks and that was the baby Dedication of Isabella Hope on my very 1st Mother's Day! It was so special to dedicate Isabella's life to God on the most special day of the year for me since I've had her....Mother's Day...I'm a Mom!!! Oh it was the best day ever!! She was dressed to the nines of course in a fluffy tulle and satin skirt with yellow satin trim and a little yellow embroidered cardigan. She was so good and just hung out in Daddy's arms giving him lots of snuggles. Our entire family was there and it was a beautiful ceremony at our church. We prayed and continue to pray that our daughter has a life full of blessings, since she is such a precious love to us. She is most definitely the largest blessing in our life.

Isabella also had some first moments!! She is rolling up a storm. Girlfriend does not like to be held down and the minute I lay her in her pack and play or on a blanket she rolllllls!!! Sometimes she gets all the way to her tummy, which she loves...and other times she gets halfway and her engine dies :) Then she lets us know...the flood gates open and she needs some snuggles! She also attended her very first baseball game and loved it...that is, until the announcer came on over the loud speaker. She gave us a deer in headlights look and the bottom lip quiver....and then a WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH ensued...Poor thing!!

We were so excited that our friends Jack & Jenny were visiting this weekend to attend our party so we could meet their sweet new baby, Avery. The Halls and Matt & I threw a joint engagement party for three of our favorite couples that became engaged. I am the wedding consultant for one of the couples, who are getting married in Kauai in September. So excited and having a blast planning for them!! We had so much food and yummy sangria...and best of all some time to catch up with all our friends we don't see as much anymore....our 9:00pm bedtime sorta cramps our style hahaha.

A Sunnie Affair has been going great and I will be exhibiting this weekend in the Summerlin Bridal Show. I'm a bit nervous because I have been asked by the show to teach a seminar on wedding consulting...and for those of you who have seen me speak at Delta Gamma, I'm not the best public speaker....so wish me luck..........lots of it!!!! I start speaking so fast fire is shooting out of my mouth when I get nervous....so my 30-45 minute seminar will end up being 5 minutes!! hahaha Let's hope that doesn't happen!!! hahaha I'm really excited though to exhibit, mu hubby has designed a gorgeous booth for me and I'm hoping for oodles of brides!! I have booked weddings through May 2009 so all of my prayers for business are getting answered.......I was patient...okay, well sort of patient :) Either way, I'm so thankful it is taking off so I can continue being a Mom at home for Bella and still get to work at my passion! To say the least, life is pretty darn satisfying right now!

I promise my next blog entry will be sooner than later. I know I have forgotten to update you on half of the fun moments we had with Bella in the last few weeks but there are just too many to list!! All I can say is that I think we have the happiest baby on Earth...she lights up when Matt comes in the room & she laughs hysterically and really boosts my ego because she wakes up smiling (at 2am) when she sees my face and giggles uncontrollably at my funny faces.
It just melts me :)

My Mom and I walking at March For Babies..
Go Austin's Team!

Isabella and I shared a milestone this week....she turned 3 months and Mommy turned the big 2-9!!! Oh goodness only one more year in my 20s and then it's on to my 30s!! And it is unbelievable to me that Isabella is already 3 months old. She accomplished rolling over from her back to her tummy this week. Once she gets to her tummy though she's not sure what to do then so she begins to cry after about 30 seconds :) She'll learn once she gets mad enough to push herself back over onto her back! This means we have to watch her every move now...there's no more potted plant stage, she's now a roller!!
I celebrated my birthday this week by walking in the March of Dimes walk, March For Babies, as Team Captain of Austin's Team. My Mom and I enjoy raising money and walking so much, this is our second year and hopefully we can get a much bigger team going next year!! Matt took me out as well with Alison, Greg and Jenn to celebrate my Bday and we had so much fun...and ate way too much!! I also finally finished Isabella's nursery!! Yes, 3 months later it is finally finished :) As you all know, she came a day early and many of the last minute items just didn't get done!! Her nursery turned out so cozy and I love walking into her nursery in the morning and seeing her smiling little face in her crib. She wakes up such a happy baby!

She has also decided that everything must go in her mouth. We're not sure if she's going to be an early teether but she constantly chews on her fingers and hands (as you see in the picture she is REALLY chewing on her hands!)....and just about every toy she owns does not have a chance anymore! Talk about drool everywhere these days haha. She is very alert though and loves her toys that are brightly colored or that sing and tell nursery rhymes. She cracks up when her nursery rhyme bear starts singing to her!

She is getting bigger every day and I love all of her milestone moments but it also means she's growing up and gone are the days of my little newborn snuggler! She still loves to snuggle but now she has so much to do and see that she fights going to sleep!! We just love her so much and she's so fun......we're loving the out loud laughs and constant smiles. We have truly a happy baby!
