4 Months!!

A Sunnie Affair booth at the Summerlin Bridal Show!!

Miss Bella is officially 4 months old!! Unfortunately, the 4 month Bday also means more shots! Poor thing was not very happy with Mommy & Daddy yesterday when we toted her to the pediatrician at 8am....she loves to be weighed and measured (all the other kids cry and Bella just giggles while she's on the scale) and even likes it when the doctor tests all of her joints and movements. Then...the big bad nurse comes in and all you-know-what breaks loose! She turns beat red when they give her those shots in her legs and it just breaks your heart! I HATE shot day!

We were very happy to learn though that she is still very tall. She is in the 95th percentile for height and she is in the 75th-90th for weight....so she is just growing like a bean stalk. I'm definitely noticing the height spurts because she is now in 6 month clothing because she is so long. She weighs 14 lbs and 14 oz and she is 26 inches long...over two feet!! I can't believe it!!

We have had a very mellow week compared to our last month, and it's just been nice to vegg out with little pumpkin and giggle and smile with her. She is so happy all of the time and is doing so well developmentally. It makes me so proud when she rolls over and smiles so big because you can tell she is proud of herself. Or when she truly believes she is talking to you and you have no clue what she's saying...but is is adorable either way!

Last weekend I exhibited at the Summerlin Bridal Show and it was such a great turn out. Matt designed an awesome booth for me and it was so great to speak with so many brides in one day...who all have such different stories! My Mom worked the booth with me...which I SO appreciated...and we had a blast all day! I loved hearing how each bride got engaged and discussing all of the styles and ideas they each had about their weddings. So fun and great experience as well!
Stay tuned for pictures of Bella's first squash meal...this should be fun!! hahaha
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we love you all!!

Okay...so I've been really bad about updating the blog lately. Yes, I have heard your grumbling girls :) There has just been so much going on!!! We've had so many great moments with Miss Bella and we have had friends and family visiting Vegas so we have just been on the go. I know...no excuse for not sending out my adorable pictures of our little baby girl!!

Where do I start??!!! Well, we'll begin with the most special and biggest moment of the last couple of weeks and that was the baby Dedication of Isabella Hope on my very 1st Mother's Day! It was so special to dedicate Isabella's life to God on the most special day of the year for me since I've had her....Mother's Day...I'm a Mom!!! Oh it was the best day ever!! She was dressed to the nines of course in a fluffy tulle and satin skirt with yellow satin trim and a little yellow embroidered cardigan. She was so good and just hung out in Daddy's arms giving him lots of snuggles. Our entire family was there and it was a beautiful ceremony at our church. We prayed and continue to pray that our daughter has a life full of blessings, since she is such a precious love to us. She is most definitely the largest blessing in our life.

Isabella also had some first moments!! She is rolling up a storm. Girlfriend does not like to be held down and the minute I lay her in her pack and play or on a blanket she rolllllls!!! Sometimes she gets all the way to her tummy, which she loves...and other times she gets halfway and her engine dies :) Then she lets us know...the flood gates open and she needs some snuggles! She also attended her very first baseball game and loved it...that is, until the announcer came on over the loud speaker. She gave us a deer in headlights look and the bottom lip quiver....and then a WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH ensued...Poor thing!!

We were so excited that our friends Jack & Jenny were visiting this weekend to attend our party so we could meet their sweet new baby, Avery. The Halls and Matt & I threw a joint engagement party for three of our favorite couples that became engaged. I am the wedding consultant for one of the couples, who are getting married in Kauai in September. So excited and having a blast planning for them!! We had so much food and yummy sangria...and best of all some time to catch up with all our friends we don't see as much anymore....our 9:00pm bedtime sorta cramps our style hahaha.

A Sunnie Affair has been going great and I will be exhibiting this weekend in the Summerlin Bridal Show. I'm a bit nervous because I have been asked by the show to teach a seminar on wedding consulting...and for those of you who have seen me speak at Delta Gamma, I'm not the best public speaker....so wish me luck..........lots of it!!!! I start speaking so fast fire is shooting out of my mouth when I get nervous....so my 30-45 minute seminar will end up being 5 minutes!! hahaha Let's hope that doesn't happen!!! hahaha I'm really excited though to exhibit, mu hubby has designed a gorgeous booth for me and I'm hoping for oodles of brides!! I have booked weddings through May 2009 so all of my prayers for business are getting answered.......I was patient...okay, well sort of patient :) Either way, I'm so thankful it is taking off so I can continue being a Mom at home for Bella and still get to work at my passion! To say the least, life is pretty darn satisfying right now!

I promise my next blog entry will be sooner than later. I know I have forgotten to update you on half of the fun moments we had with Bella in the last few weeks but there are just too many to list!! All I can say is that I think we have the happiest baby on Earth...she lights up when Matt comes in the room & she laughs hysterically and really boosts my ego because she wakes up smiling (at 2am) when she sees my face and giggles uncontrollably at my funny faces.
It just melts me :)

So sweet

My Mom and I walking at March For Babies..
Go Austin's Team!

Isabella and I shared a milestone this week....she turned 3 months and Mommy turned the big 2-9!!! Oh goodness only one more year in my 20s and then it's on to my 30s!! And it is unbelievable to me that Isabella is already 3 months old. She accomplished rolling over from her back to her tummy this week. Once she gets to her tummy though she's not sure what to do then so she begins to cry after about 30 seconds :) She'll learn once she gets mad enough to push herself back over onto her back! This means we have to watch her every move now...there's no more potted plant stage, she's now a roller!!
I celebrated my birthday this week by walking in the March of Dimes walk, March For Babies, as Team Captain of Austin's Team. My Mom and I enjoy raising money and walking so much, this is our second year and hopefully we can get a much bigger team going next year!! Matt took me out as well with Alison, Greg and Jenn to celebrate my Bday and we had so much fun...and ate way too much!! I also finally finished Isabella's nursery!! Yes, 3 months later it is finally finished :) As you all know, she came a day early and many of the last minute items just didn't get done!! Her nursery turned out so cozy and I love walking into her nursery in the morning and seeing her smiling little face in her crib. She wakes up such a happy baby!

She has also decided that everything must go in her mouth. We're not sure if she's going to be an early teether but she constantly chews on her fingers and hands (as you see in the picture she is REALLY chewing on her hands!)....and just about every toy she owns does not have a chance anymore! Talk about drool everywhere these days haha. She is very alert though and loves her toys that are brightly colored or that sing and tell nursery rhymes. She cracks up when her nursery rhyme bear starts singing to her!

She is getting bigger every day and I love all of her milestone moments but it also means she's growing up and gone are the days of my little newborn snuggler! She still loves to snuggle but now she has so much to do and see that she fights going to sleep!! We just love her so much and she's so fun......we're loving the out loud laughs and constant smiles. We have truly a happy baby!

Tummy Time and Sleeping through the Night Conquered!

Tummy Time...woohoo!!!

I HEART the Bumbo seat!!
Kenna and Isabella having fun!!

Kenna!

Mommy...the one-armed cook! Isabella tried to help but she was just too pooped!

As you can see from the pictures....Isabella is very into tummy time! She was getting so frustrated with herself at the beginning and I was only doing tummy time for about 5-10 minutes a day because I felt so bad when she would get so angry and grunt because she couldn't push herself up for any length of time. But now....she's got it and she's loving it! Mommy is loving that Isabella moved into her crib in her big girl nursery on Monday night and she slept from 10;30pm to 5:30am and then turned around and did it last night too!!! And this morning she went back to sleep around 6:15am and didn't wake up again until 9:00am. I literally did not know what to do with myself!! I'm groggy because I got so much sleep!! hahaha Who knew that could happen!

I'm keeping our friend's baby, Kenna, who was born November 14, 2007 a couple of days a week and she and Isabella are having the time of their lives. They love to play on their blankets together and Kenna is such a little roly poly...she's rolling all over the place and I can tell Isabella is taking notes :) Every time Kenna rolls toward her, Isabella's eyes get really big like "Whoa, did you see that??!!!"

Isabella is such a happy and giggly baby...she has started to mimic me and has begun to blow bubbles with her lips. She loves the sound she makes and of course that Mommy is smiling and laughing...so she does it all the time during the day now. She has also learned how to sit in the Bumbo seat and she and Beau sit and stare at each other now. When she sits in the Bumbo seat she is exactly eye level with him and they both love it.

On an awesome and upbeat note, today we found out that our baby Daisy is reacting to the cancer medication and her blood tests today show that her lymphocyte cancer cells are back to normal! It's such a miracle and we cannot believe that we went into the appointment today expecting the worst news and instead we found out that she's a little fighter and she'll be around for a lot longer. We'll have to keep a close watch on her and she will always be on an oral chemo drug, but the vet said she will most likely act normal and hopefully have at least another 18 months with us. We are so thankful...and also, thank you for all of you who have sent us little cards and emails about Daisy...we, and she, appreciate it so much. For all of you animal lovers, I'm sure you realize how hard it is to go through something like this.

We love you all and it's hard to believe Bella Bean is going to be 3 months next week....as I've said before a million times...time flies when you're having fun!!!
XOXO Sun

11 Weeks!!

How 'bout that princess tutu!!

Love those little chubby thighs!

Hippy baby can shake her rattle faster than the speed of light!! haha

Isabella is 11 weeks already...I just cannot believe we are nearing 3 months! She has been so much fun this week...outside of a little tummy trouble that caused some "rumble in the jungle" as Matt puts it, a day or so out of the week :) She has begun to laugh out loud and she has a new piggy squeal that will make you pee your pants in laughter. She knows it's funny too, so she will laugh hysterically after she does it. She has also made a new friend this week...Leap, the singing ABC frog. He sings the ABCs and then giggles at the end...and Bella just thinks his giggle is so funny so she has to do it too.

She is such an alert baby and is sleeping so great...thanks to rice cereal!! Even though the books say rice cereal does not make them sleep any better....I think it's bull because little girlfriend is full at nighty nightime now from the cereal and sleeps...like a baby :) This makes our mornings so fun and we love laying her in bed so we can play with her before Daddy goes to work.

Just loving the little princess so much...she makes my days better than ever, even when we do nothing!! Love to you All!!

Shaq-eela Channel

Look at that pout!

Sleepy time with Mommy!

Do you want to be friends??!!

Mommy...is it okay??!!

Soooo....we've have either a WNBA star on our hands or a supermodel in the making!!! We went to Isabella's 2 month pediatrician appointment this week and I was so excited to weigh her and measure her height. I try to weigh her with me on the scale but I wanted an exact measurement of my little growing pumpkin! She is weighing in at 11 lbs 6 oz and she is 24.5 inches long!! This means she is in the 50th percentile for weight and above the 95th percentile for height!!! Holy Moly girlfriend!!

Along with the docor's visit....came 3 shots! What a miserable thing to have to go through....and it was so hard on us!! They poked her in her little chubber thighs and the tears started to flow. She cried so hard it was a silent cry!! Matt and I had just received the terrible news that our dog Daisy has leukemia the night before...so to say the least it was an emotional week for the both of us. We're taking the news one day at a time and hoping for knowledge and strength to do all the right things for her. Thank you to everyone who has sent Baby D your love and prayers :)

We also got to spend some time with our friends Annie and Eric and their little girl, Makenna. Makenna is soooo sweet and such a happy baby! She has a smile that will melt you! Isabella was very curious of someone her own size! She wasn't sure whether she should smile or cry hahaha I love how babies can go through ten emotions in a 2 minute span :)

This week we are working on kisses (she almost has them down, but thinks french kisses are for everyone) and her Ah-goo sounds. This morning she was mimicking my Ah-goo sounds and then she would crack up at me when I got excited and started dancing around like a goofball! Thank goodness we don't have cameras in our home...y'all would get a belly laugh at Mommy and Bella time...oh yeah and you would figure out real quick that I cannot sing nor do I know all the words to the nursery rhymes...so I make up my own! hahaha

Love to you all!!!
