One year ago exactly to the minute I was pulling into my driveway...a box full of odds & ends from my desk at work where I just completed my last day before maternity leave next to me in the seat. Our plan was to have a nice quiet date night out at a restaurant because Matt and I knew it would be our last before the inducement of our first baby the next day. I gathered my things in the car took a step onto the step of my Hummer (still laughing when I think of my prego self driving that Hummer) and whooooossssh! And at 12:32pm...Water everywhere!!! So 365 days ago I was standing in my driveway thinking..."Oh my God...I just peed my pants!!"...looking around to actually see if any neighbors were staring at me!! hahaha Soon after I realized that I did not pee my pants...but sure enough the best thing that has ever happend to Matt and I was about to arrive...on her own time :)
At 11:08pm she came into our life and changed it forever.
I wanted to post a special Birthday wish to our blessing and sweet pea Isabella! I've cried twice today because she is growing up so fast...oh and could it be that I am a walking (but happy) pregnant hormone! She just makes everything so much better...going to the grocery store at 5pm on Friday and seeing that little tiny hand wave at every stranger in line, waiting twenty minutes in the post office and hearing her say Bay-Bay as a lady walks by with a little one, and even waking up to her crying in the middle of the night at 4am while she's teething and walking into her room and seeing those little arms raised toward you to snuggle her.
She just makes life better...even the simple things.
